Hi there! My name is Noah. I am from Philadelphia and am thrilled to bring you Bui’s BBQ.

 

I started smoking meats when I was around 13 years old, after I ate my first rack of smoked baby back ribs. I was hooked, and after getting a hand-me-down smoker, I spent my spare time working to create a rub and sauce, and refine a BBQ technique. As time went by, I got more requests to cater dinners and events, and two years later, I started a barbecue catering business that ran for 5 years. Each year I smoked a literal ton+ of meat, and developed a reputation as the guy who always smelled like smoke and attracted hungry dogs.

 

After graduating college, I worked in tech and consulting - while continuing with bbq on the side. I catered weddings, cooked for small groups and events, and put on two pop-ups - with a team - for 200+ people, selling out in hours. Now, after 10 years working corporate jobs, I'm returning to what I love to do: bbq. At Bui’s BBQ, we want to provide food for folks that they can eat around the table with friends and family. Nothing fancy. No crazy equipment. Just simple, good food.

 

Oh and why the name Bui’s BBQ? Bui’s was the best food truck in Philadelphia, and recently closed after 35+ years of business. In college I would go 3-6 times per week, and it was the gathering spot for my friends and I. After I moved, it was the first place I would go when I got back to Philly. Why was Bui’s the best? Because they were straightforward and simple. The food was the best because of endless practice, experience, and love. I hope to honor Bui’s by bringing the same passion, love, and care to you and the people you care about (via bbq).
